Enterprise UX

11 years ago I came to the United States as a back-end software engineer. and then I have survived the 2008 financial crisis by doing the projects that were available to me — #SharePoint, lots of SharePoint — 2008, 2010, 2013, and SharePoint Online.

It took 6 years and hundreds of posts in my SharePoint blog to understand the beast. (If you click the link, yes, I had a different name while I was doing SharePoint :-))

And yet, I couldn’t explain why SharePoint #UX was inferior… for developers, users, and business.

And this why I have started learning about User Experience.

UX for Enterprise systems has a special place in my heart.

I believe in the next 5–10 years we will have more and more Entreprise systems that will be more usable, and hence more effective for business.

You — UX/BA analysts, Enterprise developers, Project/Product managers, can and will make new types of Enterprise products. You will create great experiences for businesses and users. What you need is to practice discovery and design before you build stuff.

This series — #EnterpriseUX — is a collection of practical UX lessons. I share my experience in designing and implementing Enterprise systems:
